ISIS STUDENT PROFILES

ISIS Students come from all over campus. They include fuzzies and techies, and come to ISIS both because they are interested in studying the effects of new technology on society and culture, and because they want to experiment with hands-on work with digital media tools and computational processes. Many students find ISIS complements the work they are doing in another program, enabling them to research or express their ideas more effectively. Others approach ISIS coursework pragmatically, seeing ISIS as a way to develop marketable skills in multimedia design and presentation, collaborative group project development, and community relations-building. We welcome any student with an interest, and don't assume prior knowledge of specific technologies or theories for most of our courses, though some build upon another in the Certificate program.
